I have been reading blogs and I have yet to get a phone call from my daughter. Not even one to let me know she made it ok. I would welcome a 3 second call right about now. I did receive my form letter with her graduation date. Made reservations already. I can't wait to see her. Does anyone else have a daughter in Div 237 Ship 12. If so, please let me know.
Hi yd : ) My SR is not in that division however read your blog and just wanted to send encouraging words. This is hard and even if we know this was a choice they made, it is still hard. It has been 4 weeks here and I understand where you are coming from. I keep hearing that no news is good news so that is what I go on! I just read as much as I can on the PIR and look forward to that day! don't get me wrong, I have some longgg days, just as I am sure your are. Hopefully when the time is closer to see them it will not be so hard. To me, the lack of communication is so hard. Hang in there.
yd, do you think maybe your daughter called someone else? since your in your 3rd week you should be getting letters and a call this week going into the 4th.

You'll find the diagram of the barracks very interesting. You'll find important links, like the one for the Recruit Training Command and the link to the pdf file Family Guide.
I called everyone who I thought she would of called including her best friends and they all said they hadn't heard from her. I know she is working and training hard, but hopefully she will find time to send me note. She is on ship 12 div 237.
ydc1958, looks like your PIR date is July 27, 2012. Click on the underlined "PIR: July 27, 2012" above and click "+JOIN" to become a member of that group. You'll meet up with other parents w sons/daughters with the same PIR date. Post a comment on the group's page. Maybe someone in the group will have a son/daughter who knows YOUR daughter. You'll get more results in the group.
