FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

From the time my daughter left Dec 13th up until this past Saturday, Which is well over a month i finally got her call.. You talking about somebody happy it was like a breath of fresh air to hear my baby's voice. We must have talked for about 20 minutes or so. I cant wait for PIR on the 8th of Feb Thank you Lord we don't stay far from GL and i get to spend that day with her. 1 thing for certain and 2 things for sure the good Lord may not come when you want him to but he's alway's on time..

That is great that you got that call.  It's not long until PIR.  What rating (job/specialty) will she have?  Where she goes for "A" School or training will determine how much time she has with you PIR weekend and there are groups on here for many of the ratings and/or "A" Schools.

@ lemonelephant my daughter will be attending A school in GL@ LadyHawk FUEL wasn't even the word lol that dsy and still today nothing and i mean nothing else matters nothing else matters.. :)

navymom330, Check out PIR Day and Liberty During PIR Weekend within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones).  I have included 2 groups in that Page that you may want to join.  What will her rating (job/specialty) be?  There may be a group for it as well.

ALL SMILES @ LADYHAWK AND LEMONELEPHANT HER JOB IS MECHANICAL ENGINEERING OO BEFORE I FORGET IS THERE SOME SORT OF PASS THAT I NEED TO PRINT OUT FOR PIR PARKING ETC.....

The password you need to download the vehicle/gate pass is in the form letter.  You will be able to download the pass next week (11 days before PIR) at http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/upcoming_grads.asp. Do you know the specific rating?  Mechanical Engineering is not a rating.  Is her contract perhaps for Mechanical/Engine Apprentice?  If so, she is in the E-PACT program and you will want to join the group, Undesignated...What's Up With That?.
