Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

The Box and Info
We still haven't received the box from the RTC, he arrived on June 20th. My son wasn't going to send his clothes back, he was just going to donate them. I've seen a few posts that some have started to arrive. Did anyone get their address, div, date of graduation...any other information?

no not yet but SR arrived the sme day as yours, we did get the box yesturday in teh mail. I can not wait for the form letter I need to started feeling connected at least through letters

I got my son's box yesterday but no letter yet. I was thrilled to get it though!

If your SR took a cell phone, then you will receive "the box", but if he did not and he donated or trashed his things, then you will not receive it. The form letter arrives an average of 10 days after arrival at the RTC, so look for it on Saturday or the beginning of next week. He would have finished regular P-days yesterday or today and mailed the form letter at that time.
Join the group, DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in June, to connect with others with loved ones who left the same day and may have PIR together.
You may want to join, or at least check out, Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones), PIR Reference Information, and New Members Stop Here. Once you know your SR’s PIR date and/or division number, watch in Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and/or at http://www.navyformoms.com/forum/topics/groups-listed-by-pir-date and join the group for that once it has been created. There will be a lot of great information and support for you in those groups. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) and Discussions within the groups. Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what is happening, but you will also want to check out the other Pages in all of the groups.
