Today was my lucky day when the mail arrived!! I received my SR's form letter! I loved that he even included what SR stood for for me!! He knows I am terrible at remembering acronyms~looking out for his mom!  It made me so happy just to read the few lines he wrote asking me to text his friends and get his address to all the important people in his life!  I sent the texts from his phone and now I am going to get busy writing some letters this weekend!! I loved it was some of the best penmanship I have seen in ages from him ~ I teach second grade so I had to laugh at that!! My SR says he is well and LOVES IT there!!  It brought a smile to my face and  it hasn't left all day!! Love my SR son!

What a difference one week can make in your emotions~~all because of a few sentences from my SR <3!

Spenser's mom, when did your SR get to Great Lakes? I am dying to get my son's form letter. He has been there since the 8th. His recruiter says he is 02/947. I want the form letter to confirm. I also can't wait to see his handwriting. I, too, teach 2nd grade. Back to work tomorrow.

Hi,

We talked about a week ago in chat and I know you missed him like crazy.  I'm so happy you heard from him and that he likes it.  It will go by faster than you think and pretty soon he'll be in South Carolina and you can go visit him!  :)

Aaron's Mom~ I received the form letter on Sat. 8/13, my son arrived in GL on 8/8.  We live in IL so my letter might have arrived more quickly than others.  Sending you postive thoughts for the beginnning of your school year.  There is nothing like second graders who need you to pull you right out of a funk!  I miss my son like crazy but am adjusting to this journey he is on!
