Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Day 12..baby at BC
I keep like the last 100 text messages shes sent me, keep reading them over and over. Especially the ones she sent from the Chicago airport. She was excited, not scared, so I shouldnt be scared for her.There was so many ppl from all over the country. She wanted to meet new ppl, so if she is excepting of new friends Im sure others where of her.
I withdrew my facebook profile for now. It makes it hurt more seeing messages that other ppl leave whos missing her too. It made my pain so real to read others who hurt for the same reason.
Theres a picture on the frig of Alex at age 5. Her sister, then 3, is setting on her lap. I dont know why it calms me to look at that picture but I raised it higher so I see it when I walk by. Im thinking of coping it and taking it to work with me.

AW.. this is sweet. I remember them days when my hubby was in BC like it was yesterday 8 months pregnant sad and scared and happy all at the same time.. I think the worse part was just not knowing always guessing and hoping. I remember that first phone call I was so mad cuz I missed it but then he was able to call back. But I can tell you all that you are feeling now will all be worth it I promise we are stationed in Norfolk right now and yes they do go on ships I guess I got it llucky and maybe you will to.. My hubby is in a squadrom where three of them share the deployments so he only get set out every other year...wel...l I hope things get better for you im not going to tell you things get easier in this stage cuz I would be lieing but you can always look at it as everyday she is gone is a day closer to seeing her
