My husband got swore in on the 13th of May in San Diego, he flew to Illinois on May 14th. He is now in his 10th day at boot camp I guess you can say. I am missing him more than ever before. I am living at my in laws house. Its so hard waking up every morning and not having him next to me, going to bed every night and not having him there. We are a team, we're so used to being together all the time together and now that he's hundreds of miles away I don't know what to do with myself or what to do to make time go by faster so I wont miss him as much. This experience is teaching me how to value and appreciate him more. That quote "you never know what you have until it's gone" makes more sense to me now than it ever did before. I received his box May 20 and that just broke me, seeing my name on that box with his writing and opening it and seeing his clothes in there :( literally cried all night. does anyone recommend anything for me to do while he's gone?

I work a full time job entering data from 1pm-10pm and I am planning to go to college for summer but thats not till June 20 something, any suggestions on what I should do in the meantime? oh and as for friends I only have 2 close friends and they have lives of their own so I can't really hang out with them as much as i would like. Please if you have any comments or any recommendations just let me know, I would be so thankful. :)

Same here!!! I was at work and I saw him and I was like oh my gosh no way!!! I started crying and it was really dramatic haha but I was so excited to see his face. Yeah already 3 weeks down! 5 more today! I feel like the weekends are worse than the weekdays. I work Monday-Friday so I'm pretty busy during the week. But the weekends are tough. I have been so tired lately! I think it's from being so emotional and from crying so much. The days just aren't the same with him gone. Haha that's funny! I know! Snail mail is tough haha so used to texting and getting a reply right away. In his letter he was like "you probably won't get this week, dang I miss texting" haha it's so true. Everyday I write him but he won't get it until the following week. I wonder why you haven't gotten any letters yet. :( I got some yesterday and they were dated back from when he first got there only one was from last week. Ahh that's what my husband wanted to do. He wanted either cryptological or air traffic control. And he was able to get air traffic control so he is happy about it! Yeah I booked everything! A lot of the hotels and stuff we're starting to get booked. I'm staying at the courtyard Marriott. I would honestly suggest that one. It ended up being $115 a night but it was the cleanest one and it had the best reviews and they but a banner up on your door saying congrats to your sailor :) I would try to book them soon though! I'm flying out of LAX and even the flights were limited and it ended up being $493 round trip! But I'm getting there Thursday and leaving Sunday. Because I wasn't sure when he'd have to leave for A school (Pensacola).

I finally got his letters on Thursday....or was it Friday??? I dont really remember but it was one of those lol I was so happy and then he called for the second time on Sunday and he sounds alot better than he did two weeks ago and im really glad hes doing better :) I cant believe only 1 more month to go and we'll finally see our honeys :) Yes the weekends do go by slower but you just have to be strong and keep your mind occupied by surrounding yourself with your family and friends. I'm also here for you if you ever want to meet up and hang out :) I live in Mira Loma which isn't that far away from you...you're in Anaheim right? I write to him everyday and just three days ago I mailed him some pictures of me like he asked me to. I finally booked my flight but now that you recommended Marriott I am going to book my stay there too. Aweeee do they really put up a banner? That's so sweet of them :) I'm definitely booking my stay there now for sure. Have you done your deers thing?
