Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

We Are All In This Together. We are all Americans.

Dear MY3SONS,

I assume you have encountered a disagreeable episode in one of your groups. I don't see any discussion posted currently which indicate an religious bashing. If it happens in one of your groups, then contact the group creator or admin. If the creator of the group is long-gone and there are no admins, then contact Colleen, the Navy For Moms admin. There are a number of Christian based groups on this side and they are very active (Prayer Wall and Christian Chat) with many members who would welcome your participation. To the best of my recollection, we don't have many groups based on other religions. But all groups should be welcomed on this site.

My opinion.

We are all Americans - don't care where you came from, what you believe - remember where you are and the country to which you owe allegiance.

I don't believe we should be bashing anyone based on religion, race, gender, gay/straight, appearance, ethnicity. It is hard enough to sustain a livelihood as it is.

BunkerQB.

Note:  I am being sincere. I expect the same from all responders. All responses will be published. Please do not use foul language.

I'm with you judy r in not believing Emma's blog should have been reported. I knew the way that it was worded that someone with their feelings close to the surface would have a problem with it and I just shook my head and thought, "Really Emma, couldn't you just let it go and let them have their moment?" and then I went on to the next blog or discussion and hoped not many would see it. I don't want to think that Emma meant to be offensive; I think she was just pointing out that God is good regardless of the situation we find ourselves in. It was a bit blunt, which is one of the downfalls of the printed word. The words must be taken at face value, but we each interpret the written word through our own bias based on our experiences and the circumstances that we are currently facing and any past experiences with the writer. It is best to think that people on the site do not mean harm unless definitively proven otherwise and then they should be censored. That's my thoughts on that.

backpacker316, If you have gotten a "real" letter without having received the form letter, write to your SR and ask that he send you a form letter or at least send you the 4 names he intends to put on the Access List and the password that you will need to get the vehicle/gate pass if you intend to drive onto the RTC.  The Page, Letter Writing & Fun Stuff/Questionnaires to send to your Recruit (clickable link), within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will help you with this and has a questionnaire that you can send him to get the information. I suggest that you join that group while you are there.  I see that you have joined both the 05/03/2013 and 5/10/2013 groups.  From your comments, PIR is 05/03/2013, so use the information within the Page to get the information that you need from your SR.
