OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed.  Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.

**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

In an effort to remain connected to Sailor. I want to keep my heart strings from getting crossed and send him weekly "packages". I figure posting it some place weekly will help ensure my mental commitment I made to myself. (To do this for Sailor, and to do this because it means a lot to him.) Also hoping to gain more ideas of what to include on future packages. So if you have some additional ideas, Please share.:

Pkg. 01 Contents:
- CD - typical, yet fitting. Complete with hand-bound homemade booklet with song titles, artist, and explanation on why I included each song on his cd titled: (His Copy). I have (My Copy) in my car. It's one way that actually probably works best for me to stay connected....thus far.
- Black wooden simple frame of photo taken with my blackberry. (The fuzziness adds to it.)
- A mix of Crystal Lights & Hawaiian Punch single additives to bottled water.

@JessicaB - He's been gone a long time.

 

@Denise - Nope, but did put it in a Word document to keep track. It's been helpful, I can't tell you the number of times I nearly purchased the same things multiple times because I couldn't remember if the item I was looking to send was an idea I had to send - or if I had already sent it.

 

Definitely open to additional ideas. As sailor has many weeks left. :(
