FOLLOW THESE STEPS TO GET STARTED:

Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Make sure to read our Community Guidelines and this Navy Operations Security (OPSEC) checklist - loose lips sink ships!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I did..and its in the mail.....am going to write daily...even posted it on his FB for his friends to write. YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH

I hope I'll get mine today. My son just left on 9/22. Will rush home to check the mail box. I am ready to mail my letter. FB good idea for his friends. Will post it as well.

Any help would be appreciated. My son flew out of Columbus, for Great Lakes on 9/22. Any one else leave that day? I have not received my letter yet w/ the ship & division. Anyone out there get one yet? Thanks

Hi Betty...don't feel bad..mine left on 9/21 and I have NOT gotten a letter yet (hope to today though..as many mom's have). I did get a address from the Recruiter but..many mom's in here say it was a temporary one. I am sure you will get something today or tomorrow..as I expect to get. Keep me posted. I miss my boy!

My daugher left on 9/21.....i dont have her address yet, how did you get the address so quick? I guess i will call his recruiter first thing in the morning....
