My son left October 13, 2015. We received his clothes 3 days later and a couple days after that we received a letter of his address and graduation date. But no phone calls or letters from him yet. Its driving me crazy. Please help, thank you.
Sometimes there is no "I'm here" call, things are just chaotic and some miss their scripted call. It is only a few seconds. The first real call is usually around week three.
Brenda, check your My Page.
he will have holiday routine and be able to write a "real" letter the first time tomorrow. See Letter Writing & Fun Stuff/Questionnaires to send to your Recruit.
My son graduates from Boot Camp Oct 30th and I didn't receive a call for about 3 weeks. He has always called on a Saturday if they get permission. It was only every other week that he could call. Just be patient and know that your son if fine and he is keeping very busy. My son said he was a little homesick, but that he was doing fine. You will probably get a call next Saturday. My son always called around 3pm, but today it was almost 9pm. Best of luck with everything. I get to see my son Graduate this Friday. Can't Wait ;)
reyn3d, check your My Page.
Thank you everyone. My son will be graduating December 11th Ship 14 Div 035. Still haven't received a call yet, but its only been 2 weeks.
We got our first call 3 weeks after... then 2 weeks and my last call will be Nov. 11 . My daughter graduates 11/13/15!! Ship04 Div007
When my oldest was in Boot Camp the first call was about 3 weeks after and then it seemed like he called every weekend. My second son graduated this past July and only called twice the whole time. His division wasn't performing well. The phone number comes up a Chicago number, I remember seeing it the first time thinking "I don't know anyone from Chicago", and I almost missed the call!
