Choose your Username.  For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either).  Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username.  While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups!  Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself!  Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility. 

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.  

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

My son is in boot camp at Great Lakes div 385 has anyone got a call from Sargent? And does anyone know how much tickets are?

So I don't have to pay anything to get in?
Little confused cuz my son said I had to buy
Tickets and then I heard u had to pay to get in
Don't know anyone in the military so I've no one
To get information from! Even his recruiter was

Edie, take a look on your PIR page for N4M. Sarge's has a meet and greet. Dinner with some great information. He only asks for a donation.

PIR has no cost to get in. If you park on base it is free. The parking at the train station is $3.00 (that is next to the base). You can also get a shuttle ride to the PIR. Lots of ways to get there. 

Your SR may be talking about pictures. That will need to be paid for if you want them and if you want a dvd. The cost can be found on the website. If your SR can pay for them early, you will have more time at PIR with them and you won't have to stand in a line.
