Congratulations! Just one piece of advice. You need to take your son's middle or last name (James) OFF of your profile. This is strictly for security reasons. You can use initials, nicknames etc...refer to OSPEC rules/regulations on the main page. Again, this is for the safety and security of your son and all of our Sailors. Thanks.

Your SR's PIR is most likely 11/02/2012 since Division 351 has possibly been confirmed for that date.  The 11/02/2012 PIR group will be started soon, so watch in Boot Camp Mom's for information on that and the link will also be posted at http://www.navyformoms.com/forum/topics/groups-listed-by-pir-date.

You may also wish to join or at least check out PIR Reference Information and New Members Stop Here.  There will be a lot of great information in those groups as well.

Integrated indicates that your SR has males and females in his division.  Divisions 359 and 360 are brother divisions and train together and will have Battle Stations-21 together, so watch for others with loved ones in either division.

Since you received your SR's address from the recruiter, be sure to go to http://www.bootcamp.navy.mil/contact_recruit.asp and double-check the address against those there.  Recruiters sometimes give a generic address for the RTC and if the street address is not correct, it can delay mail to your recruit for up to 3 weeks.

I'm not ebgirl, but carefully read the Community Guidelines and keep OPSEC and PERSEC in mind when posting anything on the internet.  Remember everyone who reads your posts may not be a friend.

This is an open public site and ANYONE can read what is posted. Follow Lemonelephant's suggestions and add some good old common sense. I just noticed your picture. If that is your son who is in bootcamp, you will want to change it also. My picture is a baby picture of my son (obviously). Something like that would be ok.

M.J's MOM, I suggest that everyone consider changing their Privacy Settings to "Members" or, especially if you choose to post photos on your My Page as you have, to "Just My Friends" to increase security. (Click on Settings in the upper right and then Privacy in the upper left of the next page. Be sure to click Save at the bottom.)
