I hope you will have a letter tomorrow. My SR said in her letter that there will be no more calls until the end of June. Last call I got was last Thursday. She said she was busy studying for another test.

Good evening, I got 2 letters today. She is stressed, a lot of girls aren't following orders and they were in silence Sunday...

I got one yesterday. She's really good at providing details so I feel pretty informed as to what she's doing. Plus, the weekly phone calls have helped though I don't expect to hear from her this weekend given the fact that Hell week starts Friday:(

My SR took very small containers from samples from a makeup store. They didn't come back in her box so I'm guessing they fit in her sak:) They should be in week 3 day 5 tomorrow being 4:1 Hell week is week 4. Switching of RDC's who are out to make you miserable especially if they see you are doing better than their regular division, up at 0330 & tapping out at 2300 plus I think it will be SR's"time of the month"... it will definitely be Hell for someone LOL She just wrote and said she has the hang of things more and felt strong physically and emotionally sooo it might not be that bad for her. They have a weapons inspection Friday 4:1 & Monday 4:2 and if they pass both as divisions they will earn a flag. They've also started designing their division flags. :) They are definitely on the their way! Hooya!!

Good morning,  I was reading on someone's post that mentioned sending makeup for the girls, and what was acceptable.  She hasn't asked for any yet, but knowing her, she will want some.  That AND a good haircut and eyebrow wax!!  We are driving the 12 to 14 hours so to allow for some flexibility.  We are arriving at the Navy Lodge on Tuesday, 7/2 (early am) and are reserved until Saturday, 7/6 - just in case.

I also read a suggestion that if the girls are flying out of O'Hare the Hilton rents rooms for the day for $55 which would allow a bed, tv, and quiet place to let her rest and eat since it sounds like they get them to the airport in the middle of the night!

Do you think they have started Hell Week yet?

This site is so not easy to traverse! I think they forget their own first names while there lol
Hopefully, they are finding friends while there. My girly said she wasn't really "friends" with anyone yet but she is trying to just be nice to everyone. She seems to be focusing so much on making sure she does well and passes her tests that she isn't leaving room for building friendships:( I hope she is letting down her walls but it's been almost a week since I've heard from her:'(

Good morning, so very nice to connect with you.  My daughter's name is GOODELL.  She said no one even knows her first name, and that as of last week, she didn't have a nickname, which she thought was probably for the best.

Yes, my daughter has complained about the girls and how mean and rude they were.  They talk over each other and are never quiet.  She has complained about receiving IT because of them.

I believe she said she is a Division Yeoman and was previously the medical yeoman...all this is new to me :-)

She is headed to Pensacola following boot camp for her A school and then will receive her duty station.  She attended a year and a half of college prior to joining the Navy and will be finishing up a degree while she is stationed.

My daughter asked me to send her prayer cards because some of the girls were asking for them, and we promptly sent her 15!  I hope she shares one with your daughter :-)

My daughter is the section leader. Brausch . She will be going to A school in Mississippi as a Yeoman; she's going enlisted for probably a year or two then will be going back to Ohio State to finish her degree through ROTC and then coming back as an Officer. Her goal is to work in the Pentagon:) Has your daughter complained about the girls being "so mean"?
My girl said it's terrible how mean they are:( She had started a prayer group and she said girls would be rude and noisy during it to the point the RDC made them start towing the line during it! But, she did say the RDC's commented on how impressed with the girls they were because no matter how hard they are IT'd they don't whine, complain or grunt and make stupid noises like the guys do lol and even though they are crying or about to cry they NEVER give up and the guys have quite a bit of catching up to do:) So proud of them!
