Thank you so much Colleen for the welcome!  I was so excited with our recruiter told me about this site.  I have already learned so much and look forward to learning more and making new friends.  I know that the support system is going to be a blessing through this.  My recruit doesn't leave until June 2013, but already feeling the pain of separation.

Thanks again!

Thank you so much for the warm welcome!  Since I'm the stepmom to a bootcamper, I always get the info secondhand....but that's ok.  I am quite close to the mom and obviously, to my husband.  I'm just trying to be very supportive to my husband and his ex.  I really feel a lot of empathy for both of them...they are really missing our son...what can I do to help them ease their homesickness for him?

Thank you Colleen.  I haven't been on here but I am now that my son has graduated from bootcamp.  He is now in Port Hueneme, CA waiting for A-school to start for Construction Mechanic!

Thank you Colleen.  I really appreciate you taking the time and give advise.  This is very new to me.  This is the first time I'll be seperated from my son.  It's great to know I have other women I can turn to that have been where I'm at for support.

Thanks -

Dianne
