Thank you for the warm welcome Ronny. My son has been gone almost 2 weeks & I miss him so much. However, I know this is a wonderful opportunity for him to serve our Country. He called yesterday & sounded positive & upbeat. It's great to know you have so much knowledge and are willing to help us newbies.

Hi Ronny, My granddaughter graduates early June. I think she will also be trained as an Aviation Structural Mechanic. So far she's doing well...looking forward to graduating from BC.

Hi Ronnie, my daughter will graduate on the 10th of May.  Her last letter was very hopeful.   It looks like things are getting easier.  We haven't received a phone call for about 3 weeks, so we hope to get one soon.   This has been an interesting experience so far.  Shannon shipped out only 8 weeks after signing so it's been a roller coaster of emotions for everyone.   We are very proud of her and can't wait till graduation.

Hey Ronnie, thanks for the comment. My son graduates high school next month and will be leaving for bootcamp soon after. I really don't know what to expect so joined this site to hopefully get some support from people who know what i am going through. I feel a lot of mixed emotions about it but I am very proud. I am not surprised he decided to join, he is very loyal and protective of those he loves and he loves his country.

Hi Ronny My grandson Robert just left on the 24th of April for boot camp in Great Lake. Although i am happy that he is starting his Navy career i still miss not knowing how he is doing. Thank for letting me know about the prepaid card that is a wonderful idea so that they can call their families.

Thank you Roonie! My significant other left back in March and have a PIR date of May 3rd. I am a pretty late entry to this site but found it just in time to get some good questions answered just reading. I look foward to seeing how this experience is going to empower my new sailor and my life. Thank you again.

Awaiting my first letter, can't wait. Her grandpa was in the Navy. I know she will come out a new person and a stronger person. Hoping to keep in touch, thanks again.

He is doing airr but is now talking about changing his rate, he said 4guys already went home. I'm wondering if he now thinks its too hard or maybe something they go through in the first few weeks, he's only been gone 2weeks. Any advice. Thank you so much
