congratulations on your marriage! we were thinking of marrying in a couple of months while he is in A school...it would be just a quick wedding, basically for legal paperwork, and then we would have a traditional wedding deal in about a year. i trust my man, it's just hard b/c i've never had to do a long distance relationship before, and it's hard, really hard!!! lol. what did you do for your wedding? how do you handle the distance?
hi :) yes, he is going to be in groton for sub school, then possibly staying there for a school after. it's only been a week since he's left and i'm already struggling!! i don't have much support at home, i think my family is majorly scared and concerned for me. but, i love my sailor. i just have to keep thinking positively and make sure i have a lot of trust!!! lol....they have more freedom now : /
Hi Sacha, we are thrilled for PIR, so much to do before though. As far as rate, no idea he has never talked about it, so not sure what it is, lol. He only gives as much info as he thinks we need. Take care, hope your weather is as fine as ours has been this weekend.
Jeremy called. He sounded horrible. He has a really bad sore throat and said he had been up for 34 hours so far. That was at about 2pm. he said he has been coughing so hard he is coughing up a little bllod but thinks he is better. I hope he goes to the infiramry or whereever it is they go now that everything is settling down. He was glad they all passed but he was so tired it was hard for him to be really enthusiastic
I am not surprised that they joke about us. Jeremy is usually full of funny stuff. He thinks it is a hoot that I am such a "soccer Mom". Oh well i just like being interested in my kids. But I try not to be too much too clingy. I am so glad they are friends. I can't wait to meet all of you.
That is great news Sacha. How did he get in a week early? I did not get a letter from Lerm today. Was Harry pretty upbeat? I am on pins and needles today about Battlestations. I did print out my parking pass although we may take the shuttle. Will Jerm and Harry be able to ride the shuttle with us? Do we need to have our cars at PIR? Sorry I am so full of Questions, I am getting so excited. What time do you think you will get there Thursday?
I got a letter from Katie today also. I'll share some of it. In the letter she talks about a girl that she met at BC that happens to be the cousin of one of her best friends. She had never met her before BC, so its kind of cool.
Ma! I only have a few minutes so I'ma make this quick!
Ford's B-Day is April 4th so you should send her a B'Day card.
Her name is ...... . Her job is Gunner's mate. She's turning 19 & she said she likes Double Stuffed Oreos w/peanut butter (so when you come, bring those for her lol)
Her best friend died after we got here, and she found out during our first phone call home...then she got a letter from him a week ago, so send her something up-lifting please!
Battle Stations is next Wednesday evening, so prob a week after you get this letter.
I got a 100 min phone card from ship staff because I filled in for a shift when some one didn't show up on time that was pretty cool.
This girl came up to me & said "..., you have a good sprit" That was up lifting.
Anyway thats pretty much it. I just think that its nice hearing whats up with other people that are going through that same things with my daughter, so I wanted to share with you. I hope that you enjoy!
Katie will be going to Monterey Cal. for her A School the day after graduation. She is going to going into CTI. We don't get to spend much time with her, makes me sad. I miss her so much! I have three children, and she is my oldest. Her two brothers miss her a whole lot too!
I don't know how to find the original message that you sent. After I accepted you as a friend, your message was gone. lol
So here is a little info about Katelyn (Katie). Katie is going to be going to Monterey Cal. for A School. She is going to be a CTI.
My daughter Katelyn is in Ship 13 Div 153. Katie is grad and go too. It makes me so sad, that we can't visit for a couple of days. I am so proud of her!
Sacha, That is so funny because Jeremy watches Man vs Food also. There was a pizza place in St Louis that he and his cousins were going to one weekend but ran out of time. No wonder our guys get along. I do love Italian beef but have been dieting so i probably don't need to go someplace that serves really big ones.:)
