DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Sacha, Your letter will probably come tomorrow. My first one did not come until Saturday but the rest of them have come on Wednesdays.
Yes I did get a letter. He said he thinks the worst is all over. He said a lot of people hate it and are really stressed out but he and Evan are doing OK. He said this week they have a weapon inspection on their 9 Millimeter guns. They should start shooting next week. He is ready to graduate and go get a big deep dish Chicago pizza. He said he really appreciates the letters. He also wants some Sports updates.

Hi Sacha, wanted to welcome you to AECF group! Is your hubby in school or in boot camp at this point? Does he know if he will be an ET or FC? Both are great rates with lots of schooling on the front end - which can be good for families if you are planning on moving to GL during school days. My hubby was an FC for 10 years and now our son is an FC too and is stationed in...Hawaii. Not a bad life!! lol It's great group with lots of activity, please don't hesitate to ask questions.

He chose ABF. He was ready to go in quick once he made up his mind to join, and by going ABF his wait was only a month.
We got the phone call (and a letter) yesterday, and he sounded great. Homesick, but great nonetheless.
He's thinking about Rescue Swimmer as well, but we'll see... He was a wildland firefighter prior to joining, but that was too seasonal. He needed a career.

Thanks for asking.

AECF is a good field. Very useful after the Navy as well.
