Thank you! I would have loved to have seen you, too! Boy, it was wild after liberty call and as nice as it would have been to see others and their sailors it was really nice just to have your sailor to yourself for a little while. We went to the airport with our son the next morning and had 8 hrs. with him and his friends going to Pensacola so that was nice. It was a fun weekend, but emotionally draining and tiring as well. Where did your sailor go?
Hey! Saw your message. Question: Are you sure that your son didn't order the DVD with the picture package? The DVD is mailed about 4-6 weeks after PIR. There should be a receipt in his picture package so check it to see if the DVD is listed. If not, contact the following to see about ordering it:
Hey there... Saw your question about phone calls today but we are moving fast so I didn't want my answer to get lost on the board. The kids from 301 and 302 did battle stations last night and should be making their "I'm a Sailor" calls this afternoon. What division is your grandson in?
Are you talking about your provfile picture? Yes, that photo is fine. =) We just make sure that the pictures submitted do not contain your Sailor's last name!
My son is in 4 - 819 he has a little over two weeks left. It has been so hard for me to let go but this is something he wanted to do. I am very excited to see him when I go up for graduation.
I think it's wonderful that as grandparents you were able to raise your grandsons and realize they joy in having them. It was a great undertaking I'm sure, but with all the responsibility it seems that you recognized the blessing that you could be in their lives more than anything.
I salute you and your husband!
Hi Brenda - I'm doing well. A little tired, but that's normal. Hope you are having a great day today. We are another day closer to our recruits graduating. Are you going to be able to make it to graduation? I know it's a huge expense. We are coming from Oregon and that adds up fast with the airfare alone. If you can, I'd love to meet you and give you a hug. =)
I'll help you with the photos, Brenda. Do you have pictures available on your computer or on a disc that you'd like to use?
When you're typing in a text box like this, you'll see up above a B, I, U and on and on. The second to last icon is a camera. Just click on that and it will walk you through how to put a picture up.
