Hi Cristy, good morning! Yes, it was happened 1994. That's really bad experience. Oh, thank you for the info. I'm going to send some clothes to my son and other stuff today. Hope that will arrive on time, and also hoping nobody will touch his stuff- cuz my son so particular . But I think I have to call him and educate him a little bit when you have somebody living in the same room with different background.

Hi Christy.  Thank you for dropping a line.  I  am new to this system of mail and learning there is more than one place to communicate.  My apologies for not answering before, but sometimes I don't even know I have a message.  We are from Florida, the other end of the country.  Going to continue reading.....at this rate I won't get to sleep tonight!

I thought for sure it was your son that was coming with us on Christmas.  He is from the same MEPS and everything.   Im not sure if you have to fill out the form if you are not adopting.  I know that if you are, it has to be in by the 13th.  Its important that the person picking up the SR's has the information in hand for pickup.

Hi Christy,

My son was at GL the same day. I still havent received a regular letter yet either.  When I spoke to him Saturday morning, he said he wrote me so I figured I would have received it by now.   I just read someplace on this site that it normally takes about 5 days for us to receive them.  Hope this helps

Join the group, DEP-Leavin for bootcamp in November, to connect with others with loved ones who left the same day and may have PIR together.

You may want to join, or at least check out, Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and PIR Reference Information. Once you know your SR’s PIR date and/or division number, watch in Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and/or at http://www.navyformoms.com/forum/topics/groups-listed-by-pir-date and join the group for that once it has been created. There will be a lot of great information and support for you in those groups. Be sure to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) and Discussions within the groups. Arrival and What Happens at the RTC within Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) will let you know what is happening, but you will also want to check out the other Pages in all of the groups.
