Diana, I'm going to call my son's recruiter Friday & try to get his address. Will they have info about his ship/division?

Diana, I see you're from Gillespie...small world. Your "son" must have gone through the Collinsville recruiting station. Matt went through Springfield (his choice). He has been a DEPPER since Jan...NUKE.

I'm back in CA now and we didn't get to meet! :( I trust you had a wonderful reunion with your son! It was soooooooooooo incredible to see Andrew and see him with his wife and son. The military is for him. It really shows. I'm on Sub Moms now........Andrew goes to Groton Connecticut on Wednesday for BESS training (another bootcamp: sub style) and then to A-School there. Remind me....where is your son going? Take care, Diana!

Oh, sorry....It is the U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command site. Hope that helps and under discussions you will find our boys ship and div and then you can see the post made by the twins mom.

Hi Yes, I too, dont get on here that often but I do read the post. No not many 313's on here. The twins mom is on the Navy site on face book and she contacted me once. It seems both of our Kyle's sleep across from each other and are friends. If you get on face book, on the nvay site there is a ship 3 div 313 group. Not much is said on it. Very small. I can not believe that it is almost over! woohoo!! I bet they are sooo excited! I am glad the gas chamber is over now. I know Kyle was worried about that. Wonder how they did?? Well, stay strong we are almost there...Have a great day!

Hi Diana! I'm doing well. I hope you are. Wow, time is starting to really go by now. Just to think less than 30 days and our sons will be graduating. My son's name is Michael. I haven't received a letter from him yet but have had two phone calls within the past few days which has been really nice. I'm hoping to make the graduation but at the same time there's a possibility I won't be able to make it. I just hope if this is the case my son will not be hurt if I can't make it. Keep me in your prayers.

Loved your note about your letter. I got my first letter today and have read it over and over again. I am glad I got the phone call before the letter because he sounded so much better when I talked to him. I could tell by his letter he had written it before the phone call. I am so excited to see him. He is liking BC. Says bad days are really bad but that the good days are awsome. I just told him keep smiling and doing what your doing. Only 29 more days!

Hi Diana!
It looks like our sons are in the same division. Exciting!
At 9:41am on August 17, 2010, Martina said…
He loves BC. He said the division is coming together although he said the younger recruits have not quite figured out to be quiet when they are to be quiet. Jace is 24 and has lived on his own for 4 years. He shipped out of Portland, Oregon so he had not lived at home for quite awhile. Although he was not living at home he called 2-3 times per day to talk to his "mama". I so can't wait to meet you. Are you going to Greet and Meet? Have a great day and lets pray for our phone call. I need to scoot off to work. Have mercy on the patients that walk through our door today because should he call while I am with a patient they are going to be history!

Hi Diana,
My sons name is Jace. Jace is a very fine young man, personable and caring young man. His bunk mate is Michael. Jace too said that they would be calling on Tuesday, so I hope they don't lose their privledges. We are three hours from Bozeman. In fact that is where we are flying out of to go to PIR. Our oldest son just lives 20 miles east of Bozeman in Manhattan, Montana. Bozeman is gorgeous but a very expensive place to live. Jace said pretty much what your son did. He is loving BC (only my son would say he LOVES

You are also about 39 miles away from me, too. Just to let you know, Karen C. and I will be in Chatham for a car show -- I think it's Sunday, Sept 19th. Also, I will be doing a fund raiser to ship packages to our troops in Troy, IL on Sept 11th. If you want to meet at either, just let me know.

Hi Diana, My son is Andrew. He's "the old man"! He's 28, married and they have my precious 2 year old grandson! I don't get on this site as much as I would like....to connect with everyone and read all the posts. There's so many! My mother and I arrive from Sacramento on Thursday evening and his wife Sabrina and AJ do too. I haven't received a letter yet, but Sabrina and Andrew got to chat on the phone a few days ago and she gave me the low-down. Love and prayers go out from me to you and your son. I like seeing profile pics of the women that I hope to meet. It will make it easier. Of course, we'll all be focused on our own loved ones, most of the time! Wishing you well and looking forward to meetin you!

I wonder if my son has met your son yet? Are we allowed to mention first names? I am excited to meet everybody at PIR. I do not feel so alone since I have found folks in the same Division as my son. I hope I get a letter tomorrow!
