I'm so excited, I think if you are bringing six people two of you are on Anthonys list to get in the gate? I believe that's what he told me haha this next week is going to draggg I want to be there already!!! I look forward to seeing you and your family in six short days
Battle stations is tonight at 8pm and they finish tomorrow at 8am. I am expecting the call around 4pm. He didn't mention any specific details about Christopher, but he did mention they were having fun on watch, so it appears everything is still copasetic. The letter I received today said their division received an athletic flag because such a small amount of people failed the PFA. LESS THAN TWENTY FOUR HOURS UNTIL WE ARE ON THE PHONE WITH THEM :-D
Hey the call is going to be around 3-4PM. He said they are all doing great and that they finished the gas chamber, he also said 11 of them failed the final inspection so they had some extra Intensive training. Other than that everything over there is great, and they are looking forward to graduation as much as we are!
Hey karen! I heard from Anthony today. They all got their second "Peanut butter shot" in the other butt cheek, and he said the whole division was limping, they also had their FINAL inspection today of their barracks, they all liked this because they were able to dress up in their dress uniform. He says that the days are much easier and they are basically wrapping things up. He also said they basically all still have colds which stinks but hey they are almost out of there! Just figured I would give you a shout incase you haven't heard anything! Have a good weekend we will be in Chicago so soon!!!
Well my friend graduated BC a few weeks ago, and he said his phone call was around 3PM. I believe they are finished with battle stations around 8AM, They have to eat and do hygiene after, maybe sleep? But my friend did tell me that the phone call is for one hour so they stagger the calls ... I am not sure if we will hear from them prior, it always depends on their RDC's I really hope we do though. I will definitely let you know if I hear from Anthony. I did get more letters today, dated from the 15th. They have their confidence course ( Gas chamber) this week... maybe some phone calls after that? :)
My original flight was returning Sunday at 2:45PM, but since he can hang out until 8PM I am just going to buy another flight home probably around 2 am when he leaves the next day so i can be with him at the airport. I know you're not allowed to travel with them to their next destination, but he asked me to check if i can get on his flight to Connecticut and then arrange a car service home, So I will look into that for him as well since its a commercial flight i can buy a ticket on it if I want to .. I'll see how that goes haha. I am happy you heard from your son!! At least if we don't get phone calls this week, we are GUARANTEED their " i am a sailor " phone calls next week :-D we will be there in no time
Got a few letters from anthony today, he said everything is great, they did their live fire, they took pictures, and picked them out on friday. The days are passing quickly and they will have liberty until 8pm Friday May 7th, 8am-8 pm may 8th 8am-8pm sunday may 9th.
No problem, i am sooo anxious as well, I feel like I forgot what he sounds like, I keep listening to voice recordings and it's just so hard to picture him here haha
I know, It feels like it has been so long with out a phone call. I only have letters dated until 10 April 2010 so I still feel out of the loop. Anthony didn't send me a letter with the information regarding his orders for A school, hopefully we get some calls this weekend, or I am sure we will both get some mail Monday. I really am so excited to see my boyfriend, we haven't been apart for this long in years... I have just been trying to not think about it. nineteen days isn't to bad though, we've got this!
From what he said, a zone inspection was when the instructors went in their barracks while they were in class, and looked at everything, only two people failed their rack inspections, but they had no "compartment hits" which i think means something along the lines of everything was properly folded and cleaned. I am also flying out on the 6th, which airport are you leaving from? I have a 6PM flight out of JFK on the 6th. My boyfriends name is Anthony.
My sailor is doing awesome, He is such a good sport about everything. He said he had food poisoning and a cold, but didn't go to sick call because he didn't want to miss any days and didn't want to risk getting ASMO'ed he said he stands watch with your son and they have a lot of fun. I made all of my travel arrangements for the graduation as well, I can't wait. WE ARE HALF WAY THERE :)
