That's exciting that you are getting to go down and see the graduation, it's nothing like boot camp graduation because there wasn't many people who came to see it. But I thought it was more personal. After my husband is done in Pendleton our duty station is Maryland. We were others hoping to get to stay in Pendleton or at least somewhere with good weather but as much as we've been apart I'll take what I can get! Are you guys still going to be at Pendleton after your husband finishes FMF?

my bf is assigned to a ship USNS Mercy, and it deployes on May 1sh for Pacific Partnerchip 2010.. And will return in September.. but i hope that my bf won't ship out with it, he is in A-school till June and then will come home for 2 weeks.. but who knows, they can still fly him there..
no, we are not married, and i don't know if i will move down with him.. he wants to though.. but we've been together for less than 6 months, 4.5 of which were BC and Aschool.. so .. we'll see =)
he is going back to cali!! He will be stationed in SDas well, and i'm so happy, coz it's only 1.5 hours from me!! Much closer than IL lol
Well, i'm trying not to think about it but .. i still do lol i'm just getting busy with my classes (i go to college), and that's about it.. killing time with friends... he left for BC in Dec 15th, and he will be done with school in the mid of June... so we're almost there!!
What about you? Is your husband currently deployed? You just moved to cali right? I hope time will fly for you until ur sailor returns=) And i hope it will fly for me too.. =)
Hello! My oldest son was undesignated for 2 years. At first he was freaked thinking he'd be treated very poorly. He wasn't. He was assigned to the Enterprise those 2 years and he worked most of the time in the boatswains mate dept. And EVERYONE chips paint on the ships.....not just undesignated so don't let the horror stories upset you guys. My son was very happy during that time. After 2 years, he was able to chose another rate and just started corpsman school this week. So tell hubby to hang in there. He's getting a paycheck, good benefits, housing and will get another opportunity to chose another rate.
i told eric when he left for "a" school that i didnt care where we ended up, but if he got to choose, to pick somewhere where it snows!! lol. like i said, i've always lived in southern ca so snow is like the coolest thing to me! have you joined the so cal moms group? i know there are several people on this site that are stationed down by you guys. my husband is an MA master at arms, basically a navy cop from what i hear. what does your husband do?
haha i bet! i had never been to IL before erics grad, i loved it out there! you wont see much snow in ca : ( change of scenery is always nice. how long have you guys been in mission valley?
i loooved coronado! it's a great place to grow up. very safe, tons of parks, nice schools, and the bases are really nice and there was always stuff to do. my husband and i are getting ready to go to our first duty station and i'm really excited to meet new people. none of my friends are married, and i'd just lik to meet more people that are like me and my husband. mission valley is very nice! loove the mission valley mall!
Hi! I read that you're new to the San Diego area, how are you liking it so far? I grew up in Coronado, my dad served 24 years in the navy. I live a little further north now, near Temecula CA.
Well thanks for the advice.. When he got his orders to San Diego, how long did it take until you found a place out there? And are yall going to be stationed out there now that he's no longer in buds? How does that work ?
Hey, thanks for the add! I'm wanting to find a place to stay ( short term ) while my husband is in pre-buds. Do you think that would even be worth it? Is your husband in buds now ?
