Yes. He asked his RDCs. I made sure to express my concerns after doing about 2 months of research in total for it. His RDC just asked him a bunch of questions about our relationship & time together & such, etc, but said, "Though it's not encouraged, you can do it. You'll have time to on liberty weekend." So my baby wants to go 15 minutes away to the courthouse right after graduation, then back to the base to fill out his BAH forms. IL law requires a 24 hour waiting period though, so you get there right after grad on Friday, both of you need forms of ID & to be safe, take your social & birth certificate as well. You can get married on Saturday first come, first serve between 9-12 if I remember correctly & on Sunday at 9 only. You can ask for a waive of the 24 hour waiting period, but it depends on whether the judge will grant it or not. They have done it for military before, but along with the cost of the marriage license & other copies, you'd have to pay a $200 waive fee.
I wanted to ask before. What's your fiance's last name & where is he from? It's kind of fun finding out in letters from my fiance if he knows the sons & fiances of people that I know on here. :P Send it to me in a private message so that it's not anywhere public to be seen.
Oh! I also don't recommend letting him parade it or around or advertise the plan to get married on PIR day. The reason why is because it will give a bunch of men that aren't even at that point the idea to because it sounds great to them. I've known of military couples who have done it, gotten married for the wrong reasons & sadly end up going through divorces a few months down the road - tops a year. Plus, if so many people try to do it, your chances of having a smooth going attempt at the courthouse will probably become more narrow. lol
