I agree! My son was supposed to call last night to say "good bye", but I didn't hear from him. He did talk to both of his sisters and they said their goodbyes. I did talk to him 3X yesterday, but I couldn't say "goodbye", I wanted him to call me at the last possible minute! I will see if I hear from him today(however, I doubt it) my daughter said"maybe he doesn't want to say "goodbye" to you."
Anyway, I do finally have his address, so I will start writing today!
You and Stan are in my prayers!

Hi Naomi, yes, that's what Marc said, he was packing last night, and a bus is supposed to pick them up that morning.

Hi Naomi, I am also glad the hurricane wasn't as bad as predicted!I did speak with Marc briefly, he told me they were being evacuated to a warehouse. His girlfriend had been there last week to visit him and she left Sunday (before the storm hit), so he was a little down anyway. I did ask him about the address, he said he is still checking to make sure he has the correct address, (he is a procrastinator), I just hope he gets it to us before he leaves!!!

Hi Naomi, I would love to keep in touch with you. Are they in the same unit? My son went to Gulfport June 22, also(you probably already know that!) Do you have a new address yet, my son told me not to send anything else to Gulfport, but he hasn't given me a new address. Have you seen him since he left, that is really bothering me that I won't be able to see him before he goes overseas!

Hi Linda, yes my son is in Gulfport now, he is NMCB 27. He did some combat training after A school, but yes he was sent to Gulfport for combat training before being deployed in Sept. His name is Marc Tiscione, does your son know him. My son does not tell me a whole lot about what he is doing, I know he also had some classes in Gulfport. I think he is doing ok, (he hates Mississippi!)! I spoke with him last night he said his date to leave is Sept. 3rd! My heart skipped a beat when I heard that, but it really won't sink in until he is actually there! Of course I am nervous, but I know he is well trained and this is something he wants to do, we are very proud of him!
