Hello everyone, Thank you to Tiffany for the warm welcome, I got my first phone call yesterday which was way earlier than i expected. I just wish the connection my son had was not so full of static as i could hardly make out what he said. but still, he is doing well, and now that I have his address my first letter goes out today.  I am sure you all feel as i do.  I miss my son more than I ever thought possible.

Anyway - thank you all. My prayers are with each and every new recruit right now as well as their mom and dads as i know this is not easy on any of us. :)

Hi I'm looking for some information regarding the upcoming commissioning of the USS Somerset at Penn's Landing in PA.  This event is March 1, 2014 and I'm wondering how we get in.  Are the family members automatically invited?   Any and all information regarding a commissioning of a Navy Ship would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks ~
