Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

All Hands Magazine's full length documentary "Making a Sailor": This video follows four recruits through Boot Camp in the spring of 2018 who were assigned to DIV 229, an integrated division, which had PIR on 05/25/2018.
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video:"Importance of Navy OPSEC."
**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).
**UPDATE 8/25/2022 - MASK MANDATE IS LIFTED. Vaccinations still required.
**UPDATE 11/10/22 PIR - Vaccinations no longer required.

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass isno longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Hello. My son just began OCS yesterday. There is so much to know, and I have many questions. I know we will learn more as the weeks go by, but saw this website and thought I'd join. Congrats to all, and Happy New Year.
My question, my son graduated May 2015 from Chicago. He was home for the holidays n he asked if I had gotten a yearbook.with.his pictures. I don't have a yearbook. Is there a way I can purchase one from.almost a year ago or does anyone have one they want to sell me?

Thank you for the warm welcome.Just settling in to this new chapter in our lives. Waiting for a call or letter this is his first week @ bootcamp. Sent him letter of encoragement and Xmas card. Planning for January 29th graduation day:)
Thank you so much for all that you do to help us moms. Our family just returned from celebrating our Sailor's Boot Camp graduation. He was so relieved he made it, and we are so proud of him! I continue to come back here because I know that here I have support for whatever may be happening with our now SA.

My son is actually at OCS right now, but I didn't see that as an option for stage of career.
