OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Hi Alisha, My son Brenden also turns 21 on June 30th. He is in Ship 12, Div268. I did send him a card. I hope he won't get harassed too much. LOL

Alisah: I'm trying to steer members of the discussion groups who have PIR 8/6/2010 to the group I started for you all. The PIR group will have many more moms on it, from different divisions but same ship (and grad date). Go to "Groups" and then type in "PIR 8/6/2010" in the search box. Then join. I just started the group this afternoon, but it is an easier way to follow (new posts are at the top rather than throughout, like in a discussion group). It also will have many more moms eventually and much more info.
