OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. There are now tickets issued, and there are no longer parking passes for PIR.

Please see changes to attending PIR in the PAGES column. The PAGES are located under the member icons on the right side.

Hi B's Mom- All three airports are about 45 minutes to an hour drive from Great Lakes. We just like Milwaukee Airport because it is so much easier to get in and out than O'Hare. Midway is also much smaller than O'Hare so that will also be an easier airport to navigate. O'Hare can really be a zoo! Midway is straight south of Great Lakes but you have to go a bit east to get to the highway (90/94). If your son is flying out to A school I understand that most likely he will fly out of O'Hare but Midway is also a possibility which is good to keep in mind if you were going to go to the airport to see him off.  I don't know where the Residence Inn is but I assumed it was close to Great Lakes.

You're getting close! We are down to a week and a half for our PIR!

Have a great Monday!

Sandi
