Thank You! That is great to hear, he didn't say much except "why aren't you answering your phone?" I'm so glad you got to talk to your husband...I'm sure 3 minutes wasn't long enough :)

Hi, wanted to welcome you to the AECF group and then I seen you are in Westland and it brought a chuckle to me. Do they still call it ...Wasteland?!!! Or is that just from my old high school days?!!! I grew up in Michigan and all of my family is still there but we left in 85 to become a Navy wife. My hubby was an FC for 10 years and now our son is an FC as well. So your hubby is going into a great field both the ET and FC rates have lots of schooling on the front end, good advancement and lots of respect on the fleet. When does he report to boot camp? Will you be moving to GL when he starts school? THis is one of the few rates that the spouses are allowed to move to the A and C school locations. You can expect him to be in GL for about a year and then he will move to another state for C school. Location and length to be determined at the end of A school. Let me know if you have any questions and welcome!

Hi jPitts Wife, Welcome aboard N4Ms. It is so good that you are joining now. There is lots of support and good information here. I wish I had known about it nearly 4 years ago when my sailor joined. But, at least I found it now. I think you will enjoy the ladies and Dads here. I see you have not joined any groups yet. You can click on groups above. Then in the search window type in MI or the name of the BC he will be going to as soon as you know. If you can at least connect with those in your state it is a start. Did you see Molly's Adopt a Sailor Group? My son is deployed right now. He called yesterday and I was so thrilled to hear his voice. Blessings,
