Kathy - I just got off the phone with my son as well. It was so nice to hear his voice again...I miss him terribly. He sounded good and said they just finished Marlinspike. He is looking forward BS21 and graduation... Patience is a virtue. I am so glad I was able to get the call.

Kathy - I received the survey I sent my son 3 weeks ago back today. I laughed so hard I cried. He seems to be doing well. Said he is the weapons PO and has made a couple of friends. He did say the division has been fighting (or at least when filled in the survey) which may be why we have not heard much. Hopefully, they are getting it together and things will be better soon.

Enjoy your day and hope you get a letter soon as well.

Wondering if it would be okay to break into the post office before they open, hmmmm. I hope we both hear something soon. I read the post that the division received a flag. Maybe that will warrant them get phone privileges? I will let you know I recieve anything this afternoon. Enjoy your Friday! Best part is since we are driving to PIR we are leaving in three weeks! Come on Nov 21st.

Kathy - my son's girlfriend received a letter today (hope I get one too). Any contact is better than none. She said he sounded upbeat and was complaining about having to shower with his ship mate. Just something he  better get used to...HA HA !

Kathy -

We are from southern RI. My SR shipped out on Sept. 25th form Boston. We have received a letter and so has his GF. No other communication except for the form letter. I wish I knew how this division was doing. It doesn't seem to be a lot of communication. Sure hoping for a phone call soon. Are you attending PIR and are you going to any of the meet and greets? We are going to Sarge's and I cannot wait until Nov.21st gets here.
