Marienavymom4kk - Hang in there mom!. Your SR is going through something she may never have had to deal with in her life...namely having to rely on her own strength instead of pulling from yours. It's a HUGE step in her development as a young woman. Like all mommies, we want to pick our babies up when they falter. God made us that way: gave us the strength so our daughters can see the example of how to be when things get tough. So your daughter is having to experience that now. And it ain't pretty, or comfortable. She's outside of her comfort zone. But that's the PURPOSE of hardships, that's the PURPOSE  of BC. To take your child away from all the things she's relied on and leaned on and depended on all her life and put her in a position where she has to pull from deep down inside herself, dig up the lessons you've taught her, implement them in this new setting, and make herself grow into a new young woman with the confidence, determination and ability to be a United States Navy Sailor. I know you want to make that morale call. And she would love to hear her mommy's voice. It would make her feel good. But for her to get through this excruciating moment on her own grit and come through it successfully on the other side with the knowledge that she kept her head up and was able to  keep on keeping on...that's what will make her feel REALLY good.

When she finishes her time in RCU, she will be put into a division that is at the same point she was in when she injured her knee. So if she was in week 2, then she'll continue with that new division at their week 2. This way she doesn't miss anything or have to start all over again.

Also, consider that she will get another opportunity to call you soon. Keep your phone on, with you and turned up all the time so you won't  miss it! As much as you may like to have her home, encourage her to stay in BC and not give up. It will be something she will find pride in for the rest of her life...that SHE DID NOT GIVE UP.

My daughter was sent to bootcamp since 11/17/21. She had a PIR date of 1/21/22. I had everything booked for that date. I got a call from her last night, she is being sent to the ship 2 DIV 741-RCU. She has stress fractures in her knee and ankle that has to heal before she completes her final run. Now we have no time as to how long she will be in RCU and no New PIR date. She is sad and disappointed and I can’t be there to console her I have to give support over the phone with those short phone calls. Is anyone on here have been through the RCU process and can give some insight?
