It's been a good while, but I'm here!

Posted on January 17, 2011 at 2:21am 0 Comments

Hello everyone. I haven't been on here in a bit! But I have experienced a lot since then. I moved to California from Indiana and my Sailor deployed in October! So we're close to the end! I am so anxious for him to come home! My daughter turned 2 November 30th. Andrew missed her birthday again and my birthday is on the 18th(in two days!).

I am secretary for the FRG Board and I'm meeting some pretty nice wives. I do LOVE it here and I'm excited to have a "warm" birthday for the first… Continue

Well, its only been a months and I'm already excited about my husbands return home! lol. I'm in a more relaxed routine since my hubby deployed. But I miss him very much. I am just happy that I receive email from him on a daily basis when it is allowed. I am suppose to get a call from him tomorrow! I am very anxious to hear from him!

Second Stage Emotions.

Posted on October 15, 2010 at 10:33pm 1 Comment

Well, I am definitely in the second stage of emotion during deployment. I'm starting to feel guilty about EVERYTHING! It doesn't matter what is, I feel guilty about it. Today, when I put my daughter down for a nap, I felt guilty about it. Then she didn't want what I made for dinner so I made her something else...felt guilty about that. lol. I just feel this way all day off and on. Its a crazy feeling. But I feel like I'm sort of coming out of this stage..so I'm ready for the next… Continue

Well, Andrew has his orders and he is in Great Lakes, IL for his schooling. Right now he is doing N DOC this week. He says he will class up thursday or Friday. He schooling should start soon. We are expected in San Diego, CA in August. Original orders were to report to SD no later than August 16th. But because they have him doing N DOC all this week he doesn't start his actual schooling until next week. But I'm very excited about our move. I started some packing, but Andrews brother said that… Continue

hey, so I see that you are in chula vista, that isn't too far from me. I also see that your husband is on deployment but your handling it very well. Well, I was thinking if there is a certain that workds better for you to get together. umm, was trying to think if there was a place in between to meet at, like a park or something. Any ideas?

My niece is named Stephanie also. I have some idea for you in terms of getting the word out about your group. I will be posting a MSWORD document here when I get a chance. I am pretty busy for the next coming week with a work project. I have some instructions on posting comments with links to your group so you can invite people to join your group. How are you doing? How's Andrew?

Just a suggestion. Change your Privacy settings to either Members or Just My Friends--anyone with web access can visit this page as you have it now; after the change, only members or Friends can see what is here. (Click on Settings in the upper right and then Privacy in the upper left of the next page.) Blessings to you and yours.

Hi "Princess," and welcome to Indiana Moms! I'm the administrator for the group, so if you have any questions, please ask. My son is a Nuke MM serving on the submarine ALABAMA, based out of Bangor, WA. He's been in for 3-1/2 years.

It sounds like you've got a ton in your worry basket today! I'm so sorry that you can't be with your husband during the surgery -- I understand what kind of stress that must be. You'll both be in my prayers today.

The 8 weeks of bootcamp are tough for the sailor AND his wife, but they WILL pass! Just write as much as you can, keep telling him he can do it, and that you're proud of him and love him, no matter what happens. And if you attend his PIR ("Pass In Review" = graduation), you'll be so proud that your chest will hurt!

By the way, there's a monthly informal dinner in Avon (on Indy's west loop) which meets on third Mondays. I know it'd be a drive for you, but if you're ever in town please just drop by. Click Feb 15 on the Events calendar (right-hand column) for those details. We're also discussing a future shopping trip to the Edinburgh outlet stores, so stay tuned!

Jump in with any questions or comments you may have. I think you'll find we're a nice bunch of folks and always willing to lend an ear to listen or a shoulder to cry on. And please let us know how things go with your husband. Hugs! k.
