OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

of course...i'll need all the help i can get. from our letters, which he has been referring to "really sloooww text messaging" we have decided to find out where his duty station is going to be and then decide what we're going to do at PIR...as in elope, quick ceremony or get married on paper and have a ceremony later. doesn't matter to me of course, as long as i get to be with him :)

Gotcha, you are johnnasuzanne's "future" mother in law....lol.  I've corresponded on here with her...I hope it all works out for him, they say everything happens for a reason.  I am sure he will be fine...it is weird that they didn't catch that at MEPS.  How old is your son?  My son is 19 and no serious girlfriends, so he calls me...He has been very good about writing.  Did you decide where you are staying for PIR.  We are staying at the Spring Hill Suites in Waukegan, it looks very nice.

Nice to hear from you.  Have you gotten a phone call yet?  I finally heard from my son on Saturday, he sounded good - older... He said he had been sick with a high temp for several days but only missed one day.  Where will your son be going after bootcamp?  My son is staying in GL for A school, he is an undesignated seaman, curious to find out where he will go after that.
