OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Follow this link for OPSEC Guidelines:

**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:

I see you have joined your PIR group; I also invite you to join Boot Camp Moms (and loved ones) and to check out the Pages (found under the pictures of the Members) there. Take care and blessings to you and yours.

Hello,  Yes my son is also in the same division. Our guys got very lucky with this division. My son says everybody helps everybody. Most are in a prayer group which was a surprise to my as my son is not the religious type but he says it helps him get by and it brings all the guys closer.

We too are driving up to PIR from NY. It will be a 10 hour drive for us. Can't wait until 9/27/13 gets here. Will all of you be at Sarge's meet and greet? we are planning on attending. We are not driving straight through, doing it in two days. I am recovering from breast cancer still, and my husband is legally blind so I am the sole driver. Still very excited to see my boy become a Sailor as he puts it :)

I'm so sad and everyone around me is trying very hard to keep my spirits up. He tried so hard to make this as easy as possible but it's tearing me apart not hearing anything. I'm glad you're getting to send out your letters. Are you planning on going pir?
