Instead of just telling you about what your son or daughter will be experiencing at BC, Chief Arlene Maier will be your guide through this behind-the-scenes peak at Great Lakes. She’s actually an RDC at Boot Camp – a mom of three herself – and she’ll show you where your Sailor will be sleeping, eating, and training.

This video is part of a series to acclimate you to the many different areas of the Navy. We hope it helps you feel more informed about the Boot Camp experience and we encourage you to share it with your Sailor so they can get a preview of what’s to come!

Thank you so much for the BC video. My husband and I watched it together. It made a difference for me to see it instead of me trying guess or wonder what would be going on

Thank you so much for the video. My son left yesterday for Great Lakes and it gives me a little peace to see where he will be for the next 8-9 weeks. Just got my phone call!

That was helpful I had visions of my daughter sleeping in a rack like you see in movies like Platoon. Now I can comment in my letters about things I've seen. Thank you
