Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

**UPDATE 4/26/2022** Effective with the May 6, 2022 PIR 4 guests will be allowed. Still must be fully vaccinated to attend.
**UPDATE as of 11/10/2022 PIR vaccination is no longer required.
**UPDATE 7/29/2021** You now must be fully vaccinated in order to attend PIR:
In light of observed changes and impact of the Coronavirus Delta Variant and out of an abundance of caution for our recruits, Sailors, staff, and guests, Recruit Training Command is restricting Pass-in-Review (recruit graduation) to ONLY fully immunized guests (14-days post final COVID vaccination dose).

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Visiting with my son in Rota?
My son, a Seabee, is deployed to Rota and will be there for 6 months. I am planning a trip to see him in April. Does anyone know if I would be allowed on base? I understand there is a Navy Lodge on base, could he book a room for me? Would he have to be with me as I come and go or would he be able to get me a pass?
Does anyone have any other ideas of where to stay? Somewhere he could easily get to, on his time off? I really appreciate your help and insight. Marie

My son is getting ready to go to Rota for four years. I plan on visiting him once he is settled. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

My son will be joining the USS Ross in Rota, in April. I would love more information as well.

ProudMama2 all I hear is crickets. If you find a group that is active let me know and I will do the same. My son is to report to Rota by the end of May and will be there for four years. Do you know how long your son will be there?

I just came back from a visit with my son there. It may be difficult to reserve the Navy Lodge. I rented a hotel room which is not expensive now. That area does increase during the summer months because most of Europe vacations there. Fly to Madrid and take a high speed train to Santa Maria to get to the area. I found out a lot so if you have questions.

Thank you for the input. My son's trip was delayed now waiting for a new date but I will certainly be in contact once he gets out there and I plan a visit.

My son just arrived in Rota in October. I would like to visit him in mid-late January for 2 weeks to allow some travel time. I'm in the early stages of planning this trip. I don't speak Spanish. Any information would be helpful. Did you find out your information online before you went or just by being there?
