Choose your Username. For the privacy and safety of you and/or your sailor, NO LAST NAMES ARE ALLOWED, even if your last name differs from that of your sailor (please make sure your URL address does not include your last name either). Also, please do not include your email address in your user name. Go to "Settings" above to set your Username. While there, complete your Profile so you can post and share photos and videos of your Sailor and share stories with other moms!

Join groups! Browse for groups for your PIR date, your sailor's occupational specialty, "A" school, assigned ship, homeport city, your own city or state, and a myriad of other interests. Jump in and introduce yourself! Start making friends that can last a lifetime.

OPSEC - Navy Operations Security
Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind. In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships." OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.
DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.
DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Please note! Changes to this guide happened in October 2017. Tickets are now issued for all guests, and all guests must have a ticket to enter base. A separate parking pass is no longer needed to drive on to base for parking.

Son shipped out May 14th from Houston, TX
My son shipped out last night and I received the call around 1:44 am. I am anxious to receive the formal letter with the PIR date so that I can get busy making arrangements. I have 3 important family members that want to attend in addition to me, dad and my other son. I hear that they will only allow 3-4 guest max. Today is a day of no sleep for me. I am one worried Mom!

My son's recruiter gave my son's PIR and mailing address 1 week after he arrived. I received the formal letter about 2 weeks after.

Please keep in mind that the address the recruiter provides might not be the correct address.
There are various reasons why the address can change so it's safest to wait until you receive the official letter before sending off your letters. Go ahead and start writing letters now (# them in the bottom corner so your SR knows what order to open them in) and then as soon as you get the address you can drop them all in the mail.

My son shipped out on the 14th from San Antonio, his recruiter told us July 12 for PIR. But of course we must wait for the form letter.

My son also left 5/1319. Shipped out from Miami on 5/14/19. I am anxious to hear from him. I received the first call and the box. I am waiting for the letter.

My husband shipped out on May 13th from San Jose, I received the box but no letter just yet. But I have a question if his graduation is July 3, does that mean he will have liberty for the holiday or does he ship out to Pensacola ? Also I have no heard anything from his recruiter whatsoever.
