After 3 weeks I finally have my son’s mail info. I still haven’t received the box or form letter but his recruiter got the address for us. Feels good to know I can send him encouragement through mail.
I’ve heard +/- about sandbox. I will try it and see.

You won’t be receiving a box anymore. The belongings stay there - GL and will be returned to the SR day before graduation. So far ... I have not had issues with Sandboxx. My brother received all 4 mails I have sent. There was a glitch in tracking one of the letters, but sandboxx emailed me the information about that specific letter. I like it just so he has something he receives at least once a week coz the regular mail seems to be taking longer. I have received a 3rd letter from him yesterday and he mailed that on October 21st and I received it on the 24th. I have paid for the packaged letter through Sandboxx, but still does regular mail too.

ps

also received an address from the recruiter, but decided to wait for official form letter coz I read so many comments here that it may not be the latest address - the one coming from the recruiter. By the time we received his form letter ... I had 14 letters prepared. Enough for the last 3 weeks he was there. My goal was to mail at least 3 letters per week plus 1 with picture through Sandboxx.

Thank you for the info. I sent one letter through Sandbox and one snail mail.
Mama Scha- I still have not received my form letter yet either. My daughter arrived at boot camp the Wednesday of this week. So a little over 3 weeks now. I did send my daughter some mail through Sandboxx. I got her address from her recruiter also. It was driving me crazy not to be able to contact her. It still is. Until I at least get the form letter, I won’t feel better. I’m waiting on pins and needles for some type of communication. Hope you hear something soon!!
Sorry. I meant my daughter arrived at boot camp 3 weeks ago this past Wednesday.
Hi Mama Scha! I started sending letters as soon as my son's recruiter gave me his address and that was the 3rd day he was there. I figured if it worked he would have a letter to read. Sandboxx was the best decision I made! I send a hand written letter almost everyday and I purchased 8 letters with Sandboxx. Sandboxx is good for the quick info or just a quick hello. Either way he writes telling me he is thankful for the letters and pictures and to keep them coming. On the days I can't think of a thing to write I find crazy news to send him.
