My son departed for Boot Camp 1/5/21, obviously with the initial 2 weeks of ROM. I heard from him yesterday for his first call home to casually talk. It was great!!! And I have been on cloud nine since(just had to share)!! Anyone else's son/daughter in this group slated for a 3/19/21 graduation? Would love to connect.
JWMom - We don't currently have a PIR group set up for March yet. The site admins do that and it is a closed group. Once it is set up we will post the information on the BC Mom group page down in the comment wall area. In the meantime, I would suggest you post your message there as well as more people follow those comments and they might not see this one.
I did see your post in the Main Room chat - I am so happy that you received a phone call. It will definitely put you on cloud nine!!
My daughter left CA for boot camp on 1/4 and called me on 2/6. We talked for about 40 minutes. She graduated 3/9. They must be in the same class. This is my first venture into this forum (or any online chat/communication). Id like to connect with you too. She will go to A school in Florida.
Hi. I’m new here and not familiar with online chat. JW mom, I got a second call from my daughter in boot camp with graduation date 3/19. She says they hardly have time to go to the bathroom. I hope your son has or will call you soon. I’m hoping to figure out this website so I can connect with other moms. I’d appreciate any help
Navyat34 - Are you viewing this site on a mobile device or on a computer? If you can log in on a computer, it is a lot easier to navigate this site and find the groups, your profile page, etc. If you are using a mobile device, put it into desktop mode, I think is the way most people view this site on a cell phone. I just use my computer and I don't have a lot of difficulties.
Okay, so do you know how to get to your profile page? You just need to go up to the blue ribbon and click on "My page". If you go there, you will see where B'sNukeMom has posted a welcome there and she has written a message with a lot of blue highlighted/ underlined topics. If you click on the one that says Boot camp Mom that will take you to the BC Mom group. You should go to that group page and in the upper right corner, I think, should be a + Join button. Click on that to join the BC Mom group.
Once you join the group, then scroll all the way down past the information, past the discussion section and come to the comment wall. That will be where you want to post a hello and introduce yourself and share your prospective PIR date to meet with others.
So, I am giving your links here and I will post them on your My page as well.
