It is always so much better when we can see their smiling face!!! There are a few moms in the Beyond BC group whose sailors either were or are at Pensacola, so if you have any questions feel free to ask them in the group!

Good Morning Ameybo - Welcome to the Beyond BC group!! I just had a notice that you had joined!! We are glad to have you. I have been out of town and playing catch up. Was your SRs PIR last week? Congratulations on your new sailor!

Hey Ameybo,

You are very welcome. I saw your reply back to me and wanted to make sure I answered.

As Chipmunk was saying sometimes the form letter can be very slow in getting out from GL.  The waiting can seem like forever and then before you know it, the time has passed already and you made it thru.

Were you able to see the links I posted for you on the Boot Camp Moms comment wall? If you didn't and need them again let me know and I can repost them again.

Another thing that I have learned from the other moms is No news is good news and you will live by this as long as your loved one is in the service.

Let us know how you are doing? Come and post on the group page when you feel comfortable doing so. We have a great group of ladies that all help out in one way or another. :)

Ameybo - You are welcome! I see that Partyofseven posted here also. You can always click on our profile image and it should take you to our profile page if you ever need to reach out to us.

That initial waiting for the Form letter can seem like forever. With the extra ROM, it is about 4 weeks until you receive it, some have waited even longer and some never received theirs but did get letters from their SRs with the address. Once you have the form letter, you will know when your son's PIR date is and will be able to join that month's group as well. You might be in the April PIR, or maybe not until May. The May PIR group is not set up yet.

Don't hesitate to post on the group page. And if you are viewing this on a mobile device, we recommend that you put it in desktop mode.

Hi Ameybo,

And welcome to our group. I will post some links for you to read over in the morning so you will be able to see them and they don't get lost in all the posts.   :)

It's good that you are here and no question is ever dumb and someone will answer you.

I try to check my email before going to bed so I wanted to welcome you as well. I am another mom that helps out on here as well.

Welcome again, God Bless and have a restful night. Stay safe and healthy out there!!!

Ameybo - Welcome to the BC Mom group!! I was out of town on Saturday and then it has been quiet on the group and I apologize, I forgot to come find your profile pages so I could post a Hello!!. I am one of the several moms that stick around and help to answer questions, offer encouragement and welcome our new group members.

Please come to the group page, scroll down past the information, past the discussions and go to the comment wall area on the BC Mom group page. That is where we do most of our daily conversing and we post more information for you as well. This is a really busy week for me and we all volunteer our time on here, so if you post a question and you don't get an answer right away please keep checking back or ask again.

My son has been in for 3+ years and is currently out in the fleet.

HUGS!

Welcome to NAVYforMoms.com!

Head to “Settings” on the main page right away to add a profile image (no last names visible, please) and complete your Profile. Then - and this is important! - read these Community Guidelines and this Operations Security (OPSEC) Checklist, for the safety and privacy of all our Sailors.

Then jump right in!  Browse around the site and check out the groups and the information in their Discussion Forums.

Join this group for boot camp moms, where you'll also find a group for your Pass in Review (graduation) date; and this one for PIR Reference Information.

Get a head start during boot camp by joining groups for, and learning about, your Sailor's occupational specialty and "A" School; and later your Sailor's duty station and/or Navy ship and homeport. You can also join groups for your own state, region or home town and interests from getting ready for deployment to care package ideas!

Please say Hi when you join a group, and feel free to ask any and all questions - everyone was new once, and there is no "dumb" question.  This site was created by the U.S. Navy just for you, and we look forward to getting to know you and your Sailor.  Welcome to the NAVY family - we're so glad you're here!!
