Navyat34,

First of all, I am so sorry this message is so late getting to you.  I have been crazy busy with some family matters and have not been able to keep up to date on this website.  But I see you recently joined the Moms of Daughters 2 group and I want to welcome you!!!  We are a friendly, caring group of moms always willing to listen and support.  Please feel free to jump in and join our conversations on the group page!!  We like to discuss everything from our sailors to our jobs, weather, whatever.  It's also a great place if you want to yell, scream, vent, cry - - there is no judgment involved!!!  You can ask any questions you may have, talk freely about your feelings, fears or concerns, or just chat about life.  We are all in different phases of our daughters Naval careers and we are always there for each other!!!  Brag about your sailor but also tell us when you are hurting because you miss her so!!!  Looking forward to getting to know you and your sailor!!  Again, Welcome Aboard!!!!

Sorry for any confusion that has occurred. I know you are part of the March PIR group also, be sure to share there as well. Your days are getting closer!!

Navyat34 - I see that JWMom posted a comment her for you. You figured out how to send me a friend request. You can do the same for JWMom & Gr8NvyMom as well.

Hello, my son graduates 3/18/21 from boot camp also. I spoke to him this past Saturday. Sounds good, but I think the end of Boot Camp can't come fast enough :)

I saw your friend request and I sent you a message. Check your inbox in the upper left corner of this page.

That is good that you had a phone call from your daughter and she sounded happier.

I have my comments set to be approved before I allow them to be visible, since my page is visible to members on this site. That way, if someone is not my friend and not able to send a private message to me, and they post something more personal, I can keep it from being visible to others.

This site is a lot easier to use on a computer, not sure if a tablet is still better than a phone. And so I only use my computer and I can't stay on the site all day or I don't get any other work accomplished. If I don't reply right away, I will do my best to reply as soon as I am able.

Hi Navyat34 - This is weird, when I go to the March PIR group it shows that you are a member there and I thought I had a notice that you were a part of BC Mom group before. But none of your groups are showing up here on your profile page. - Please don't delete yourself from groups.

If you look below Gr8NavyFam has posted a comment for you. If you click on her little dog picture, then that should take you to her page. You can comment back to her or if you are on her page under her dog picture you should see where it says add as friend.

I saw your posts to me and I have a lot to get done today so I can't take too much time but know you are not alone. We will help you get through this.

Hi Navyat34, Welcome to the PIR March 2021 Group! I have a SR scheduled for PIR the last week of March. It's been an interesting learning experience so far. I will post most days just to greet everyone and check in. I understand that you are not familiar with online chat. :) It took me a while to get accustom too. It's okay, please feel free to reach out if you have questions. :)

Welcome to NAVYforMoms.com!

Head to “Settings” on the main page right away to add a profile image (no last names visible, please) and complete your Profile. Then - and this is important! - read these Community Guidelines and this Operations Security (OPSEC) Checklist, for the safety and privacy of all our Sailors.

Then jump right in!  Browse around the site and check out the groups and the information in their Discussion Forums.

Join this group for boot camp moms, where you'll also find a group for your Pass in Review (graduation) date; and this one for PIR Reference Information.

Get a head start during boot camp by joining groups for, and learning about, your Sailor's occupational specialty and "A" School; and later your Sailor's duty station and/or Navy ship and homeport. You can also join groups for your own state, region or home town and interests from getting ready for deployment to care package ideas!

Please say Hi when you join a group, and feel free to ask any and all questions - everyone was new once, and there is no "dumb" question.  This site was created by the U.S. Navy just for you, and we look forward to getting to know you and your Sailor.  Welcome to the NAVY family - we're so glad you're here!!
