Expecting a call from my navy recruit son

I'm wondering what area code I should expect a call from my navy recruit son in boot camp in Great Lakes Illinois. I'm anxious to hear from him and I recieve so many spam calls lately that I rarely answer unrecognized numbers. I don't want to miss his call though. Does anyone have any advice?

Hello, when my son called it was an 847-area code. I hope this helps.

Jennifer-- Calls can come from any area code since they are using calling cards but most often it's 847.  While your SR is in BC answer all calls.  Just hang up on the spammers!!
I left you a message on your page as well as answering on the Boot Camp Moms page.

Thank you all for these answers. I'm sorry I never answered any of them. I finally heard from my son in a letter but I love the fact that you all try to be so supportive of the mom's going through this. Thank you Jennifer

Jennifer - You are welcome!! I hope you are following along in the BC Mom group page as well.

Is your son going to be staying in GL for school or will he be flying out to another location for his schooling?
