Good Morning Ladies, I just wanted to let everybody know that Corpsman A school starts next week due to the senior class will not finish A school until then. T tells me that they are on clean up duties...that there are a lot of lap top computers being purchased at the NEX for A school and that they are given a course book to page through while waiting, and that some study groups have formed.

Krystal - So happy for you and Trevor!! The picture on your profile tells it ALL...what a beautiful Family you make...All the best of blessings for your new Family!!

Olga - So nice to see you still here posting!! Have a bright summer interacting with those beautiful minds!!

Tess - Hi, So happy to see you still posting!!

I just want to tell you all about are time in Chicago...Well we started at National and rented a really nice Ford explorer with only 200 miles on it. Drove to the Ramada Inn for MnG. Thank You, for the wonderful time meeting & talking to you all...I was humbled. The next morning on are way to pir out air conditioner went out in our new car!! PIR was everything I heard it was and more. When I saw All those beautiful faces of our sailors...you couldn't contain ME. I had to force myself in my set from wanting to run up and congratulate each and everyone of those Sailors with a Big Hug!!

We found our Tristan and I looked into his eyes and I will never forget that moment when he & I just started crying. Me because I was witnessing my new hansom "night in shining armor" in the form of a United States Sailor and him because he could see the bounty of his efforts in our faces His father, Kattie and I were just beaming with Pride!!

Tristan was allowed to spend liberty with us from 4pm Friday to 8pm Sunday night. I have to plug the Residence Inn because although they gave our 2 bdrm suite to a family who were out of their home due to fire, they compensated us with 2 - 1 bdrm suites for the same low price of 75.00 per night.

Saturday, we went into the city with a new car witch was traded out and we were very comfortable in it with a working air conditioner!! The first place we went to was the Shedd Aquarium, parking was 16.00 All day. We spent a wonderful 3 hrs.with the Beluga Wales & friends, then took a water taxi to Navy Pier( there was no way) to walk there!! We ate at Harry Carey's a really great meal; we even ate with other Sailors!! After walking awhile we thought we would be able to stroll down to The science and Industry Museum but again was really to far to walk so we took a regular taxi witch cost 16.00 to take four people. We spent about 4 hrs there and were thoroughly amused. another 16.00 for taxi back to the car.

Sunday we left for the city early which we caught traffic on our way to Wrigelyville. Which is a half mile street of memorabilia and sports bars, although are tickets for the cubs baseball game said 1:30 pm the game didn't start until 7pm so we decided to take the Reline to Michigan Avenue where we went to the John Hancock building(could only see 1 mile)due to cloud cover; it still was a magnificent view from 94 stories. Oprah has an apartment in the only building with it's own zip code, general store and bowling alley!!! We then took in the" American Girl" doll store with it's 2 stories of dolls of many faces, their clothing a beauty parlor and hospital and a Tea room for your daughter, her doll which is seated in a hi chair attached to the table. We then went into the large mall of seven stories with an elevator running through the center of it(beautiful)!!

We then made our way back to the Red line when it started to rain on us, we all had rain poncho's to keep us dry on the 6 block walk back. The train cost 2.25 for a one way ticket. On the way back we could see all the row housing which butts up to the train(could not fathom it) living Sooo close to that train!! 20 minutes later we were back at Wrigelyville and caught a bite to eat at Lucky's a pub which was on "Man vs Food channel" The sandwich witch consists of pastrami, cheese, co slaw and french fries all in one for 7.95 (we split a sandwich between 2 people and it was filling. We wanted to experience the ballpark hot dog, roasted peanuts and popcorn all washed down with a draft beer(except Tristan) he had root beer, of course!! haha lol.

We bought the "City pass" for 69.00 per person except T was FREE. You can get admission into every attraction stated above and also The Field Museum and the Sears tower. Which we took in on Monday while T was in A school. We met up with Tristan a 4pm went to the NEX for backpack and necessities then next door to fast food which we met up with 5 other Sailors who are in T's A school, All good looking and eager Sailors.

I have to say that this was a bookmark vacation we will never forget!!

Olga, JamieNMax and others re photos: I couldn't find a way to download the PDF order form but the email address for the photo lab contact is: "angelene_vrana@nexweb.org". Maybe you can email her and ask for the form/ask any questions.

IloveThomas: It looks like you can order them separately. I tried to find a way to download the form (it's a PDF) onto this website but haven't found a way to do it and have limited time. I was wrong about the frame: the frame for the division photo is $32 and the SHIPPING is $9. So, maybe you can just order the division photo and get your own frame for much less. I didn't find an 800 number but the email address for the photo lab contact is: "angelene_vrana@nexweb.org". Maybe you can email her and ask for the form/ask any questions. Good luck!

Tess, thank you! I wanted a division photo and the frame at the very least, and the dvd. Can I buy separately? If it's too late, this is going to be sad! I know he actually wanted the frame!

Me and the baby got sick over PIR weekend as well. Not too bad though. I wish I would have gotten to meet more of you but the baby was tired and fussy so I left the M&G.

Judy- I never saw you over the weekend to give you that card so I will mail it to you using the return address on it.

Hi Ladies! If you have any tips/suggestions for new moms who have Grad & Go's, please join our group and post your heart out! Type in "Grad & Go Info" in Group search box to find it.

Anyone got the end of bc blues? Some of us in PIR 6/4 do, we miss yaking to each other, so have reached out again. You can't go through 8 weeks of bc hell and not make life long friends on this site!

Judy - so sorry to hear that you have been ill... I was so bummed that I did not get to meet yo9u all. My plane was delayed and by the time I got to the hotel it was almost 9:00 and there were not too many people in the bar. I am glad to hear that you all had a great time. Hope you are feeling better.
