I wanted to be sure you saw the post from TSC GL PAO today on Boot Camp Moms

This is in response to Tiff who asked about her recruit coming to her room at the Gateway Inn & Suites on base: The answer is no. The students are NOT permitted to go to the Gateway regardless of whose room they wish to visit. They are briefed on this and are instructed they are not allowed there.

____ It can be found at http://www.navyformoms.com/group/bootcampmoms?commentId=1971797%3AComment%3A7546331&xg_source=activity.  I am sorry that I gave you incorrect info.  I am wondering if those who are not staying at the TSC for "A" School can visit there and that is where my misinformation originated or if things have changed with the change in command. Again, I apologize.

Tiff:  I hope you saw the answer to your question on Bootcamp Moms.  No, at Gateway --your sailor is not allowed to visit the room.  Someone from RTC Public Affairs posted that.  You may want to stay at Navy Lodge?  He can visit there.  It is only 1.5 miles from RTC and A School is right next door.   He can visit at any of the hotels off base.

It was me Joan Monton. My son is Kevin. That's funny they got our letters. We didn't get a call yet. Very disappointed. Hopefully soon.

Tiff, I was thinking along the same lines as you with the recordable Christmas card....unless someone on here strongly advises against it, I may go that route too :-)

My son, Kevin is Sip 11, Div 057 and I also have not received a letter or call yet.  I found the following link to be very imformattive.  I am hopeful that we will receive a call Sunday night?  Just a guess.  I'll let you know if I hear from Kevin.  Hey, maybe they know each other, what's your childs full name?  My son is KEVIN MONTON.  He's 18 from Ridgewood, NJ.  Just out of high school.  His plan is to go the A school at Great Lakes right after graduation.  His field is "Advanced Electronics and Computers".
