OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

I see you have joined the cryptology group, what is your Sailor's rating? There may be another group for you.

Since the cryptology ratings are among the Spook ratings, the information within the Page, OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes To Your Profile), will be important for you.

We recently moved to Lake Jackson. We are glad to be back in Texas! My son is deployed on the USS Kearsarge. He has never seen our new home. He recently was promoted to E2.
