Thanks Judy - I know it's for the best but I worry that he still thinks he can get back with her.  I would like nothing more than for him to move on and just enjoy life.  At least he has settled into Navy life and I am thankful for that.

Yes, I joined the US Navy RTC facebook page. I even eavesdropped in on thier Whacky Wednesday this week. It was fun to watch every one anticipating the image! I know for a fact that I will be going back there quite often as well as being here!

Yipee! A letter today from my SR in Ship11/Div318! She's doing great, loves her NWUs, is on ships' staff, says the days blend together, passed her first PFA, had to be up at 0300 to iron her skivies, got their first mail call on the evening of the 13th, gets along well with her bunk mate, knows one of the SRs I've written to her about from this site. I feel better. She's busy but sounds happy. Hope all you other mothers hear from your loved one soon.

@Kim, she says they haven't spoken yet because mine is on the fwd stbd side of the compartment and yours is on the fwd port side. lol

@Sunsetwatcher, nothing yet? Special prayer going out for you tonight. Hang tough, I know it's hard.

Thanks Judy for sharing your thoughts.  It does help so much to read everyone's experiences and knowledge from different websites.  I appreciate your openness and willing to be available. That is so nice of you and very appreciated.  I have been doing some homework on empty nester concerns.  I do feel a lot better and think it was the full moon or something.  We will hear from them soon and best wishes for you and your family!  I hope we get letters soon...

I have a feeling that we raised our daughters to be independent.  I had a moment over the weekend and felt really alone.  On Sunday I got up, started feeling sad again and got in the shower, got dressed, put a little makeup on and went for a walk with my dog.  I forced myself to do my daily routine.  I want to be strong for Hailey.  I want her to be independent and strong like me.  That makes me feel a little better.  We talked every day and she has been my friend for 19 years..  She is my one and only and although I am very proud of her, I feel like there is a hole in my soul.  Do you feel like that too?
