OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

Profile Information

A little about me:
My husband and I have 3 kids. The oldest is 31 and the youngest is 20 yrs. We are a very close knit family. Watching our kids grow and being as close to them as we have all their lives has been the biggest blessing for us. We lost my father-in-law this past October. He was a Navy Veteran and fought in WWII. He was always a very proud Veteran, he served on the Bellawood. He wrote a biography about his life as a sailor and we made it into a book after his death. He was always encouraging out kids to join the Navy. Although our 2 oldest chose diffreent paths and careers and we are very proud of all of them, we are especially proud that our youngest has decided to follow in his Papa John's steps.

The Navy offers opportunities that...
The Navy is the experience of a lifetime. An opportunity to serve your country within an elite branch of the military. Like my late father-in-law used to say "You haven't lived until you've been in the Navy".
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.
