OPSEC - Navy Operations Security

Always keep Navy Operations Security in mind.  In the Navy, it's essential to remember that "loose lips sink ships."  OPSEC is everyone's responsibility.

DON'T post critical information including future destinations or ports of call; future operations, exercises or missions; deployment or homecoming dates.

DO be smart, use your head, always think OPSEC when using texts, email, phone, and social media, and watch this video: "Importance of Navy OPSEC."

When I heard “Navy,” I...
Was proud and encouraged it
The Navy offers opportunities that...
Change. Develop a way to deal with change in a healthy way for you, your sailor and the rest of your family. Learn to wait and be patient. Sometimes your questions may not be answered right away and that is okay...eventually they will be. Best advice I could ever give: Get in a routine!!! And always be supportive of one another :)
Our Navy experience so far...
It was positive and maturing. Our relationship has grown stronger.

Where is your Sailor stationed (what vessel, if one)? There may be groups I can direct you to.

I see you have changed your Username, you may also need to change the URL to this page. It's not a good idea to post a pic of your Sailor every time you post. Make changes 2, 3 and 4 at the bottom of OPSEC and PERSEC (Making Changes to Your Profile) (clickable link). There may be other changes you need to make as well, so read and consider each of the changes.

You may want to join Girlfriends, Fiances, and Wives of Sailors and check out. I see your Sailor may be going to "A" School for CTN; you may also want to check out cryptology at pensacola moms, Cryptology ~ CTI ~ CTM ~ CTN ~ CTR ~ CTT ~, Sailors at Corry Station holding or in school, and Sailors In Pensacola, FL For A School....Corry Station too!!. The Rating Information Card for CTN can be found at https://www.cool.navy.mil/enlisted/rating_info_cards/ctn.pdf. Since CTN is one of the
Spook ratings, the information within the Page, OPSEC and PERSEC (Making
Changes To Your Profile)
, will be important for you and there are some changes you will want to make..

HI and welcome! My son is a CTN. He finished A school and is currently at his duty station. A school is long and hard. Lots of studying and it took 6 months when my son went through at the end of 2012. I think you might want to be with him because I am sure you would be a comfort to him. But he will be very busy studying. Hope this helps.
