Hello Jentkd:

I saw you back on the 23rd of February, I was just making sure you are doing ok...Keep writing the letters to your son he will appreciate it. Every one is different I sent my son stamps, and a pre-paid calling card pre activated. They can buy these items from NEX but that is just the mom in me.

Hey! My son is also in Ship 04 Div 162. He will also be going to Pensacola for A school. He will be going for IT. I actually got a phone call from him today. I was so happy to hear his voice. He said that it has been rough. Their (not sure what you call them) drill instructors are use to training the guys that want to be Navy Seals and this only the second group that they have had to train that aren't Seals. He said they are rough. He said that there are 83 in the division. He said they can only write on Sundays so maybe we will start getting letters next week. This isn't an easy decision that our sons made and I am so proud of them both.

That is great, donating his clothing and phone! That is something my Son was going to do as well but he decided he needed a new cell phone just before leaving (kids). Keep the faith and continue writing the letters. My Sons PIR date of 04/02/2010 that seems far away but it is just around the corner.
See you later - Take Care and Proud of your Sailor

@JessicaB-Sailor Mom Thanks I am doing good, he just left about an hour ago. I can't wait to get his information so I can write. I know the phone call will be short, but it will be good to know he arrived safely.
