Hi! A field trip huh? Sounds interesting. Perry started last week, so Rob is in a different class, but he said his class is small, so around the 17th week they will be combining with another class and he said it might be Rob's. Hopefully Rob is adjusting to life here and will enjoy his classes! Perry seems to be doing well, he got a near perfect score today on his first test, 3.95 out of 4.0. My mom is coming up for the 4th and we're going to do downtown Charleston. I'll let you know if I find any must-see places! Hope you're doing well! Isn't this so much better than bootcamp?

So Rob is down here now! Perry ran into him the other day on base. We just got internet yesterday so I'm finally back on here checking everything out. Is he doing well so far? Perry starts actual school on Monday. They've been in "Indoc" this past week and he took me to go get my i.d. and all that jazz. The Navy life is going to be quite an adjustment!

Hey! Don't worry, I haven't abandoned you! Perry is on his way home right now from the airport. We're moving up to GL on Friday. I've been sick since PIR, I guess I caught whatever Perry had, so the move won't be the most fun experience in the world, but I can't wait to just be there! I bet Rob is so ready to get settled in GL! Keep me updated on how he's doing! And how are YOU doing? I hope you're well. It really was so great to meet you in person, just wanted to let you know.

Hey Momof5... No, no calls this week. I'm afraid they just hang around base doing things like cleaning and landscaping, but as far as I understand it's still bootcamp. They can still get kicked out & sent back to day 1 even after they pass battlestations until they actually go through PIR. Gasp!

Thanks for the info! It will be good to know when to expect his call. Perry hasn't mentioned Battlestations yet. I'm hoping we get a phone call next week and he can give me a little more information on the game plan. We're getting close. We're on the downward slope now! I'm excited and starting to get antsy. I cannot wait to see them graduate!

I didn't hear anything about Six Flags. Perry said he doesn't care what we do as long as he gets to spend the time with me. I thought about Six Flags but I wasn't sure since they have to stay in their uniforms and can't get them dirty. I was just worried about him staying clean in a theme park. But that's just what I heard, it would be a lot of fun though! So far, our plans are to sight see in Chicago. Perry and I have always wanted to spend time in the city so this gives us that opportunity. Plus, my mother is going to be with us so I have to think of mom-friendly activities as well!
I hope Rob feels better! Pink eye can be miserable, I've had it twice, but if he does what the doctor prescribes he'll feel better in no time. It's probably already cleared up by now. Anyway, I hope you get your next letter soon! I got mine today. Just the littlest communication with them makes the waiting so much easier!
Have a fantastic rest of your week!

We heard from our boys!!! I'm so excited! I asked Perry about your son, he says he knows him and likes him and that he had pink eye at the moment. And I said, "oh! I'll have to tell his mom that!" And he said, "He's probably telling her himself right now." And so he was! :) They've all been feeling under the weather in one way or another. But we heard their glorious voices! You must've been as excited as I was. Sigh. It was awesome. Now if only we could have that every day!

Hi -- we are practically "neighbors." I live in Ridge. My daughter just left for Boot Camp 3/1/10. She was so excited and proud -- her life was just beginning.
